Fly into Beijing or Shanghai, then take a high-speed train and a short taxi ride to the academy. I send the exact route once you book, and the Train Ticket add-on means I book it for you.

Most travellers do. Visa support is part of the Full Travel Concierge add-on.
The $165 booking fee is non-refundable. Cancellations less than 4 months before your start date are also non-refundable, due to high demand at the academy.
